We provide an accessible, safe, affordable and professional community-based travel service for residents of Stockport who find public transport difficult to use.

Who is the service for?

Our service is for anybody living in Stockport Metropolitan Borough who finds public transport difficult to use. This could be because of age, sensory disability (such as blindness) or physical disability.

What types of journeys can it be used for?

Our service is available for all types of journey including:easy-go-buss-020

  • shopping,
  • travel to and from work,
  • visiting hospital,
  • church,
  • visiting friends,
  • local recreational amenities,
  • day centres and luncheon clubs,
  • airports and train stations,
  • holiday resorts.

We provide a door to door service. We can arrange both single and return journeys.

How much does it cost?

If you want to want to use our services you must be a member. Membership costs £10 a person and runs from April to March. Download our membership form membership form here or contact us for details.

Each journey costs a minimum of £3.75. This includes the first 2 miles. Additional mileage costs £1.80 per mile.

If you would like to arrange a longer journey (for example a holiday trip) contact us and we will provide a quotation.

All charges are inclusive of VAT where applicable. We accept TfGM travel vouchers.

Who are the drivers?

Our drivers are a mixture of volunteers and paid staff. All are friendly, patient and experienced with basic first aid and safety training.

How accessible are the vehicles?

All our vehicles are wheelchair accessible and are fitted with either a passenger lift or a low access ramp. There is also a Side Entry with a Hand-rail and a low access folding step. Some of the advantages of hiring our vehicles are:easy-go-buss-033-cropped1

  • All seats fitted with three point seat belts
  • Fittings for wheelchairs (including restraints and inertia seat belts)
  • Safe carriage of both manual and electric wheelchairs
  • Mobility scooters by arrangement 
  • Friendly trained staff

When is the service available?

We operate the service from 8.00am – 6.00pm five days a week, with a limited service in the evenings and weekends. Regular bookings taken.
